If you are into hard core pain, humiliation, etc. this book is for you. It pretty much left me cold. All this book basically talked about was what Master wanted and what he wanted was to inflict pain even though she apparently loved it. To me the development of a connection between the two main characters was non-existant. Personally, don't waste your money on this book.

aina Boardman had it all - money, success, power, and all the trappings therein. She was the head of a company she'd created from the ashes of trying childhood, and she should have had everything she ever wanted. But everyone has some desires can never be spoken aloud, and she had never confronted her own head on: she wanted to submit to a man, someone who would take her in hand and make her want to surrender herself to him. It was almost as if she had too much control - was too demanding - in her daily life. She needed someone strong enough to meet her toe to toe and back her down unhesitatingly - in business and in their bedroom . . . He arrived in her boardroom one day - a filthy rich, disgustingly handsome billionaire playboy who could buy and sell her in a heartbeat - and conquered and controlled it perfectly. She knew she was lost. She only hoped he couldn't see quite how much she wished he would focus all that power and dominance on her.In the end, she betrayed herself to him, and entered a life she'd only dreamt of, fantasized about feverishly, alone in the night. He was every bit as strict a disciplinarian as she could have wanted - more so, she thought sometimes - and never hesitated to lay down the law across her cringing bottom and thighs in the most severe of manners. But those weren-t the only tools in the arsenal he used to keep her in line. He'd said he was going to push her limits, and he was nothing if not a man of his word. And she was His, to do with as he pleased.

Passion's Innocence Review

Lost interest half way into the book. There were parts where a paragraph that was at the end of a chapter would be repeated at the beginning of the next.

Prima Review

A well-written and thought provoking story about a strong, but sometimes sadistic man and the slave he buys. Both of the lead characters, Joseph and Prima, are extremely likable. Their relationship develops well throughout this story.
More hard-core than other erotica books that I have read, so if this isn't your thing, read something else.
I found myself thinking about this book long after I read it. This is the first book that I have read by this author, but will not be the last.

A plague has devastated the world's society and the government that's left realizes the necessity of rebuilding the population. The few women who survive are enslaved - sold and traded and bred. Owned by their male relatives, they are punished severely for any misdeed - real or perceived.Prima is such a woman - bought and paid for by Joseph, a man who intends to get full use of her, in every conceivable way.Prima is, technically, a post-nuclear (post-plague) genre story that contains extremely harsh, non-consensual scenes of BDSM, anal, and the occasional touch of ageplay. This was originally offered on Bethany's Woodshed, and is also for sale on Best of Bethany's.

Life On My Knees Review

Life On My Knees

Warning: This book contains adult language, situations, and issues. Parents please supervise your children.
Louis Friend has written a collection of short stories. These deal with BDSM (Bondage/Domination/Sado-Masochism, reviewer's definition of acronym) and sexual activity that is considered fringe or edge in the general population. There are several themes, gay, D/s with both female and male Dominants and submissives. Several are non-consensual by this reviewer's standards and dealing with edge and other taboo subjects.
Content aside, the stories are well crafted. The plots are all deep enough to keep the reader's attention. The characters are full and well developed. This reviewer began reading with the impression that the fantasies would follow a specific theme and was pleasantly surprised that was not the case. The variety of plots from gay first encounters, to established or regular triads and cross-dressing makes for a very enjoyable read. Friend covers many fantasies in this book with some that should resonate with each reader.
Most of the stories are told in first person. This works for Friend here because it is stated in the Introduction that they are his fantasies. The feel is of total immersion from the first paragraph to the ending words. The vivid imagery is sexually charged and intense. There are explicit details, but also tantalizing mysteries.
Although Friend deals with BDSM in general most of the fantasies are very sexual in nature. There is a definite commonality about sex being the integral part of each tale. The pair of related tales, Friday Night Plans: Louis and Friday Night Plans: Faith are interesting juxtapositions of their perspectives. Louis, the cuckhold, is surprised by Faith's plans for a specific Friday night, while Faith is enjoying the way that Louis submits to her designs. Hitchin' a Ride is an almost whimsical portrayal of an interesting triad between two women and one man, where one of the women is a lesbian Dominant raping the male. Cacklin' Rosie, with the spinoff name, deals with a group scene with multiple partners and intriguing dynamics. Again though the dynamics hint at D/s they are secondary to the sexual content.
A very easy read, Life on My Knees is recommended to anyone needing a good book for entertainment. The book will at least intrigue, interest and entice quickly. There is a suggested site list on the last page of the book. This reviewer would love to see more of Friend's writing and some of these stories developed into longer pieces as well.
