Mr. Zimmerman provides a concise, accurate, and painful history of U.S. dealings with Native Americans from European arrival on this continent until the Wounded Knee takeover in 1973. Not only did this book challenge me into political activism and participation in all civil rights movements, it changed forever my willingness to take the U.S. Government at it's word.
This book is a must read for anyone trying to understand the Civil Rights Movement, the Government's attempt to quelch such movements, and the real execution of due process in the United States.
