(More customer reviews)For any of those of you who, like me, love Richard Hays, the venerable author of "The Moral Vision of the NT," "The Faith of Jesus Christ," etc, be warned!! -- the Richard Hays who authored the dubious title of this book, "God, On His Knees," is clearly NOT that Richard Hays. Without any description whatever, I thought this book might be the theologian Richard Hays' newest work on something like Jesus' experience at the Mount of Olives or something. But instead, this book (at least from what can be told from the 1st chapter [I thought it might be a parable or something, so I foolishly kept reading]) is a mountain of vulgarity.
I got to it by clicking on Amazon's link button under "Richard Hays." Suffice it to say that all works under good names with good titles are not to be equally trusted. My opinion: stick with the outstanding Richard Hays of Duke Divinity School. And to Amazon: try to fix this link.
