The simple experiments she attempted over the years may seem a little cruel to some, but to keepers and enthusiasts the world over, this information opens up a whole new avenue for experimenting with Tarantulas and how they function, react and relate to their surroundings. With this hobby only really becoming popular in the 80's, very little is known about Tarantulas and even more so, very little scientific study has been published on them, Karen's experiments show in my opinion that there is a lot more to learn, not only about their behaviour in the wild, but also in captivity, especially if experiments will assist breeders to be more successful so that demand for wild caught specimens can be lowered and their numbers in the wild preserved.
This review has received a low rating simply because the price does not relate to the content which is barely enough to fill a 2 page brochure.
