I bought this book for my husband who just turned 60 this spring. He is no stranger to working out, especially since he was in the army many years ago. He was very fit and muscular and is a mechanic by trade so he is also very strong. He has also never had a problem with being overweight. A few years ago, he was very sick and lost a tremendous amount of muscle mass. Since we already had free weights here at home and exercise bands, this book seemed appropriate. When I gave it to him, he jumped right in and started using some of the exercises. There has been a marked improvement in both his muscle tone and mass. I catch him studying the pages to find yet another exercise that will improve "his guns". Since he is not a "gym" person this has been a godsend. His posture is improving as well as his confidence. He stated that he looks forward to the day when he will no longer look like a shriveled up old man. :)
