Typically, I have high expectations of 801 Media titles, as even if some of them are not that interesting, at least they tend to be explicit. (And I do not mind plotless yaoi, as long as it's explicit enough). This book is neither interesting nor explicit. Yaoi (m/m) sex scenes are there, but the level of what is shown could easily qualify this title for DMP's June imprint (i.e., "softcore" yaoi / shounen-ai). Not sure why they decided to print it under "explicit yaoi" label of 801 Media, probably to charge a higher price.
Product description says that the story is about a Chinese mafia boss and his bodyguard. The cover led me to believe that the bodyguard is the seme, (that guy with dark hair on the cover). Well, the opposite is the case, the bigger guy with dark hair is a Hong Kong mafia boss, and a very slender, uke guy "on his knee" is his bodyguard. If the aforementioned uke possesed any martial spirit or attitude, I'd be actually rejoiced with such atypical profession allocation, but no: he's quite a whiney, weak guy, and one only has to wonder how he got to keep 1) his job, 2) the love of the seme. Well, regarding the latter, the seme is quite a boring guy himself, so I guess they had that much in common. It's even hard to describe what exact action happens in the title story, as it's hardly any. The uke sort of attempts to protect the seme (not particularly well), and then follows the lovemaking scene. The latter was lukewarm, and if the title led you to believe that the couple engages in any type of S & M / BDSM (I had such weak hopes before buying the book, just based on the cover and the title), they absolutely do not, and all what we can see is not passionate in any other form.
The art inside is quite different from the cover, i.e., not so good, at least to me (all those extra-big-eyed and not particularly pretty ukes, with bland facial expressions...).
The reason I'd give the book 2 - 2.5 stars (and not one), is because there's a bonus story in restaurant settings. It's not particularly interesting, but was somewhat cute (as I like yaoi set in restauarants, with the uke being a cook). But it didn't justify the purchase price of this book for me, and overall I felt cheated.
