(More customer reviews)This book is a delight for any lovers of Minstrel Banjo who want to play some Stephen Foster tunes. It is put together very well and has both tablature and traditional musical notation.
The only downside is that the rhythmic transcription to tablature is sometimes not accurate, but you only need to look up at the traditional music notation to see what the rhythm should be. Also, I believe some of the songs are notated in the wrong key.
It sounds as if I'm putting the book down. Far from it. The historical notes are well written and informative and for we Minstrel Banjo players, it is nice to have more repertoire to play.
I highly recommend this book!
